IEEE GLOBECOM 2025, the flagship conference of the IEEE Communications Society, will take place in Taipei, Taiwan on 8–12 December 2025 under the theme “Sustainable Communications for Ubiquitous Intelligence”. The conference brings together researchers, industry and policymakers around future communication networks, from core technologies to applied use cases.

6G Flagship contributes to the technical programme through research on near-field multi-user communication and antenna architectures. The conference is organised as an in-person event in Taipei, Taiwan.

Enhancing Spectral Efficiency with Dynamic Metasurface Antennas under Realistic Power Constraint

Session focus:
The contribution studies dynamic metasurface antenna (DMA) architectures for near-field multi-user communication systems, maximising spectral efficiency while respecting realistic power and hardware constraints. It assesses how RF impairments and spatial correlation between DMA elements shape the achievable gains, providing guidance for energy- and spectrum-efficient 6G transceiver design.
