Future Directions of Medicine and Health Technology

The joint event Future Directions of Medicine and Health Technology takes place on 26 November 2025 in Oulu, Finland.
The event is co-organised by 6G Flagship, GeneCellNano, and the 6G-Enabled Sustainable Society (6GESS). It offers an excellent opportunity to explore emerging biomedical and digital health technologies, meet researchers across disciplines, and join discussions on the future of medicine and health innovation.
Panel discussion
Professor Ari Pouttu, Director of 6G Flagship, University of Oulu, participates in the panel “Science Politics and the Future of Flagships”.
Representing 6GESS
Teemu Myllylä, University of Oulu, will present during the session “Enabling Technology” on 26 November 2025 (10:55–12:00). His talk, “Towards 6G Wearable Brain Function Diagnostics,” introduces approaches for next-generation biosensing and wireless health monitoring within the 6GESS framework.
Moderating the Panel Discussion
Professor Simo Saarakkala, Director of 6GESS at the University of Oulu, will moderate the panel “Science Politics and the Future of Flagships.” The session gathers Finnish Flagship directors to discuss long-term research collaboration and science policy directions.
