Biography of
Jari Juuti
Jari Juuti (D.Sc.) received his M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering and D.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2000 and 2006. He is the Research Director and Docent/Adjunct professor of “Functional Materials, their Components and Applications” and the leader of the Microelectronics Research Unit since 2023. He has served the research community in various positions of trust, including editorial committee, steering and advisory boards and networks. He has supervised and participated in over 45 research projects funded by domestic and international funding agencies and industry. He is author/co-author of >120 refereed scientific journal publications, over 20 conference or other publications, three book chapters, seven patents and 43 patent applications. His research interests include piezoelectric materials, functional composites, actuators, motors, sensors and energy harvesters for micromechanical, high-frequency and printed electronics applications.
