Hannu Nikurautio

Mr Hannu Nikurautio’s career in business and technology spans several decades and a broad array of industries, beginning in Finland and extending across the globe to include the United Kingdom, Netherlands, China, the United States, Brazil, India, and Poland. His experience includes leading global business development and management organisations, where he has played a pivotal role in executing business development, product, and R&D programmes that have achieved international recognition and impact.

Throughout his career, Mr Nikurautio has held numerous executive and senior leadership positions, making substantial contributions to each. His work has been crucial in developing strategic ProSales strategies and advancing innovations in technologies ranging from 2G to 5G, cloudification, and Open RAN.

In addition to his leadership and innovation, Mr Nikurautio has engaged in significant collaborations with major companies, including Nokia and FLEX, influencing the direction of technology and business. His efforts have left a lasting legacy in the tech world.

As of November 2023, Mr Nikurautio is the Research Director at the University of Oulu’s 6G Flagship – focusing on the Defence vertical and the 6G Technology Center, where he continues to drive forward-looking research and development in telecommunications.
