ISMICT 2027

The 21st IEEE International Symposium on Medical Information and Communication Technology, ISMICT 2027, meets at Lapland Hotels Oulu, Finland, on 18-20 May 2027. The University of Oulu hosts the symposium.

Twenty years after its second edition, the series returns to Oulu. In fact, the 2007 symposium here was the first ISMICT to run on an open call for papers.

ISMICT connects engineers with clinicians and health researchers. For example, topics range from body area networks and wearable devices to 6G in healthcare and smart hospitals. For 6G Flagship, the subject sits close to home, since researchers at the Centre for Wireless Communications work on the wireless hospital of the future.

Keynote speakers include Emil Jovanov, Simon Cotton, and Andrea Ungar. Papers are due on 18 February 2027, and accepted papers then go into IEEE Xplore.

More information is available on the official ISMICT 2027 website.
