Juho Markkula

Dr. Juho Markkula is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Wireless Communications – Networks and Systems (CWC-NS), Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE), University of Oulu, Finland. He received his Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in 2023 and his Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in 2009 from the University of Oulu.

His doctoral dissertation, Communicating Smart Grid Demand Response and Control Data Through LTE Network Related Solutions, focused on utilizing LTE-based communication technologies for smart grid demand response and control applications.

Currently, Dr. Markkula is involved in the 6G Vertical Trials for Sustainability (6G-VERSUS) project, where his research focuses on energy modeling and simulation, renewable energy technologies, and hardware selection for sustainable 6G systems.
