DESCRIPTION:Nokia and NYU WIRELESS host the 2026 Brooklyn AI-Native 6G Summit at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn\, New York\, on 3-5 November 2026. \nThe summit has met every year since 2014\, previously under the name Brooklyn 6G Summit. This year’s theme is Networks at the dawn of the AI Supercycle. SUMMARY:IEEE Conference on Integrated Sensing and Communications (IEEE ISAC 2026)
DESCRIPTION:IEEE ISAC 2026 meets in Lisbon\, Portugal\, from 15 to 18 November. It is the first edition of the IEEE Conference on Integrated Sensing and Communications\, and the first large conference dedicated to integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). The IEEE Communications Society\, the IEEE Signal Processing Society\, and the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society sponsor it. Attendance is in person. \nRepresenting 6G Flagship at IEEE ISAC 2026\nProfessor Seppo Yrjölä represents 6G Flagship and the EU project 6G-MUSICAL. He presents two papers on the business of 6G ISAC. The first examines digital strategies and data-driven value propositions in AI-native 6G ISAC markets. The second sets out a business model approach for 6G ISAC that takes sustainability into account. \nHis first presentation falls on Tuesday 17 November\, in the session Emerging ISAC Architectures and Modalities. The session runs from 10:30 to 12:00 in room Londres. He then presents on Wednesday 18 November\, in the special session Towards Practical 6G Integrated Sensing and Communication: AI Methods\, System Design\, and Hardware Integration. Under its Journal-Conference Synergy initiative\, the Council invited selected IEEE Sensors Journal authors to present their papers in those interactive sessions. \nTadashi Matsumoto presents on behalf of the Centre for Wireless Communications at the University of Oulu. The paper analyses error exponents and outage probability in distributed hypothesis testing\, where a sensor encodes and transmits quantised observations over a fading channel and a decision centre rules on a hypothesis rather than reconstructing the original data. Designing the link around the decision rather than the bits speaks directly to the goal-oriented and semantic communication questions that shape how 6G networks will carry sensing traffic.
